Each Baisers Ensoleillés swimsuit is the result of meticulous work that begins long before the actual sewing process. I love sharing the behind-the-scenes insights into this process, which combines research, precision, and passion.
1. The collection
- It all starts with the choice of materials and colors .
- I select fabrics based on their quality, comfort and shades, which must correspond to the universe of the collection.
- I then move on to the model development phase . This is where I make the sketches , drawing inspiration from trends, the season and the artistic direction I want to give.
- Once the designs are validated, I move on to the prototyping and pattern making stage.
- I create the first models, I test the cuts, I adjust, I rectify and I do fittings until I obtain the desired result.
- When the model is validated, I can move on to gradation , which consists of declining the basic prototype (in size XS) in all other sizes.
2. Production
- Production begins with placing the patterns on the fabric , then cutting the different pieces from the final material.
- I then add the notches and marks that will be used for assembly.
- The pieces are then assembled and sewn , then I take care of the finishing touches and labeling the sizes .
- Each swimwear goes through quality control before receiving its small name tag , the final touch that marks the finished product.
